This summer we are very lucky to have multiple members of the section marching Drum Corps. I would like to try and set up a trip to DCI Atlanta for the trombone section. The more people we can get to go there is a chance that we can get discounted tickets. If not tickets are going to be around $25-$30 per person. We will iron out all the details closer to the event. It is scheduled for July 30 and will be held at the Georgia Dome. I hope to have a good showing to support the people in our section marching this summer. These are the people that will be m)arching this summer (sorry if leave anyone off)

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a great fall semester! I also hope all of you high school seniors are enjoying your last couple months in high school! Southerners will be here before we know it! I would like to take this time to talk about mouthpieces for the upcoming season. I would like for everyone to try and be on 51D or 5G mouthpieces for next season. I understand if money is a problem and you can't afford a mouthpiece. That is perfectly fine. This is not a requirement but merely a suggestion. In my experiences these mouthpieces are very good and I would love to have as many of you as possible on these mouthpieces, especially those of you using 12C or 6 1/2AL. If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask!

Reading Band!

Southerner's Reading band is going to be March 7, 2011 at 5:45pm in the Performance Center of Mason Hall on the JSU campus. We are going to play through some of the music for the next marching season. I hope to see everyone there! Please let me know if you plan to come!

Also, for the 2011 marching season the trombone section is looking to take between 35-40 members. You do not have to go to London to be eligible to march next season. Please let me know if you are interested in marching on the registration page.
